01 · Business problem

The problem

Every Monday an operations manager exports data from the CRM, the accounting system and two spreadsheets, pastes it into a template and writes a summary. It takes most of the morning, errors are hard to spot and the report is already out of date when it lands.

Proposed approach

Data is collected from each source on a schedule, checked for missing values, duplicates and mismatches, then combined into a fixed set of KPIs. A short written summary is generated directly from the numbers shown, and anything unusual is flagged for a person to look at.

02 · System architecture

How it fits together

  1. 01

    Collectors

Scheduled read-only pulls from CRM, accounting and spreadsheets.

  2. 02

    Validation

Checks completeness, duplicates and reconciliation between sources.

  3. 03

    Metrics layer

Consistent KPI definitions calculated the same way every week.

  4. 04

    Report builder

Generates the summary and delivers by email or dashboard.

03 · Proposed workflow

Step by step

  1. 1

    Collect

Pull this week's records from each source.

  2. 2

    Validate

    Flag gaps, duplicates and mismatches.

  3. 3

    Summarise

Calculate KPIs and write the summary.

  4. 4

    Deliver

Email the report and publish the dashboard.

04 · Interactive demo

Build a weekly report

Three messy fictional sources become one validated report. Notice the checks that catch a duplicate, a gap and a mismatch.

The report is empty until it is built. Review the sources, then build the report.

Illustrative data only. Figures are invented and are not results from any client. The summary is generated by a template directly from the numbers shown.
